Umpqua, glad to see you back. I was starting to get concerned that you were shot by a jealous hunter or something.
I've never counted but our living room looks like Country Bear Jamboree.surprises me how much people are buying them for. ebay is a hot spot but im not a very trusting guy. just how many mounts do you have UH?
Pics please...I've never counted but out living room looks like Country Bear Jamboree.
I know a lot of the mounts in the Gander by me are local hunters loaning them for display.I wonder how the sporting chain stores like Cabelas get their mounts. That may be an option as well.
I just looked on eBay out of curiosity. There is no shortage of elk mounts for sale. One of the first listings is a nice 350 class bull for less than 1k. I would keep it in the family if at all possible as I am betting you will struggle to get anywhere near what it would be worth to you guys down the road.there's no way they would pay for the mount though, not enough at least. I think my best bet is to take it to a shop in Jackson Wyoming come tourist time, some rich guy that doesn't hunt but wants one in one of his summer homes would be they guy that pays the mula. my brother is selling it, I told him not to but his new woman has changed himI may just buy it off of him, that was a fun hunt and I cant believe he wants to sell it. he deff doesn't need the money.
