BOAT= Bust Out Another Thousand I've been there more times than i care to
If I had to take this thing to someone to do all of the work that I have done to it, it would be well into the thousands of dollars.

I hate conventional boat motors. There is ALWAYS something going wrong with them. ALWAYS.

I much prefer mud motors. So much simpler to work on.

I agree with that, i have a go-devil. When i was guiding in AK we got a sponsorship with johnson outboard's to test out their offshore series and we blew up 5 motors, luckily, we ran dual motors but coming back with one sucked. They flew them and techs in overnight every time until they figured out their oil diaphragms were to small. The siren would buzz and bam instantly blown. Taking my tracker deep v out Friday hopefully i have nothing to add to this thread.

I have a good buddy that only runs mud motors. That's pretty rare in illinois. He just bought a new Gator tail package. Really nice package, really solid. Only thing I don't care for is the noise.

I’ve been running a Gatorade-tail 35 on a 1860 gator tail boat with airboat plastic on the bottom for almost 20 years. Mine is not stock, highly modified, and is VERY loud. Lol

I have another one on a stand in my garage that is completely rebuilt. When my other one takes a crap, I’ll just pull it off and put this one on.

Mikuni 45 mm carb
Power cam
Roller rocker
3 angle valve job
Eagle roller rockers
Heads decked .020
Ported-polished
Hi-rev coils
Ss full flow exhaust

They run dangerously well. Lol

Well I had hoped I wouldn't be posting on this thread but here I am. The boat wasn't the problem matter of fact it never had the chance. Installed new brakes / master cylinder on my 2018 F150 and as I was heading onto the freeway it felt like something was wrong. i let off the brakes and the truck is slowing down like I was full on the brakes, all of the sudden warnings flashing on the dash , traction control, parking brake malfunction, and ABS. Had a friend show up with a code reader, we cleared the codes and release the pressure on the front hydraulic brakes as the rears are electronic. Got it home did some research to find out there are recalls for faulty master cylinders and Ford is 3 to 4 months out on parts. The master I got was a motorcraft part made in China, and they build pressure leading to the problem I had. The original was going soft, and the pedal would go to the floor but stopped the truck. So, while I was under the truck I see the main seal leaking and at this point it became obvious Iam breaking up with this girl. Do a bunch of looking around and head down to a dealer, do some back and forth with a salesman and got them down $17,000 with a 10000/ 7 year bumper to bumper and lojack. on a 6 yr loan for a 2026 Chevy Silverado Z71 Trailboss with several additions.

That's one of the reasons I am not getting rid of my 2013 F350 crew cab short bed 4x4 with a 6.7 diesel & 6 speed auto tranny. It has only 120,000 miles on it and it runs great. I am selling my big 29" travel trailer and I was thinking about getting a smaller truck. Looked at the F150 and Ranger didn't like what I saw. You can only get a 10 speed tranny and everything is "packaged". I just didn't some of the extras you have to get with a package and wanted some thing you couldn't get.

I am going to be 85 in a couple of months and my F350 will have to last me until........
