Broadhead?

Looking for a good flying fixed broadhead. Got a mathews heli-m, easton axis arrows (340), etc. I have been playing around with the G-5 montecs and strykers but they dont seem to be flying that well. Looking for something that will fly like a field point. I live in Idaho so no expandable broadheads will work. Anybody have any good ideas?

Hmm....most will say a G5 will fly very well with FP.

I would suggest checking to make sure your bow is set up correctly.


That being said, I prefer slicks.

Wac'em broadheads are the best flying i have used, i use the Wac'em Exit 4 blade 100 grain but the Triton 3 blade flies just as well.

Ya I currently use the G5 montecs and don't have any issues with accuracy and I'm shooting a Hoyt crx with Easton axis also. Steve speck over at S&S archery in Boise Idaho is coming out with his boradheads that he designed and engineered which theres suppose to be a review of them comin up in this months issue of EBJ that's maybe something you wanna check out I'll be looking to get a set and try them out Myself

I like Magnus Stingers, I have always been able to get them to fly great out of any bow I have owned. But like was mentioned before, your bow needs to be tuned, and make sure you don't have any wobble in your arrow from inserts or nocks. If you do you are just beating your head against the wall trying to get a broadhead to fly straight.

I've been a G5 Striker guy for years but I'm switching over to Shuttle T Locks.

Shuttle t- locks 100 grain. Never had a problem

I tested a lot of them and the best flying cut-on-contact replaceable blade head I've found........Wac'em Triton 100 grain.

I am really liking the Slick Tricks the last couple years. Many broadheads will shoot just fine field points to broad heads.
Just comes down to your arrow spine and how well your bow is tuned

This past season was the first year I have ever tried expandables. I used the G5 T3's. I shot a blacktail deer and man did it do a number on the buck. I was impressed. solid penetration and the fly like field points. great broadhead
