I'm looking to purchase a new bow sight soon. Open for anything, but leaning toward a single pin adjustable. What is everyone using and/or liking?

Spot Hogg is the only way to go. One of these days I'll take the Slugz route, but loving my 7 pin
Spot Hogg Fast Eddie for me with the single vertical pin with the 2 aiming references. I switched to it from a 5 pin Spot Hogg sight.
Where I find the single vertical pin excels is the long distance stuff (>50 yards). With only the one pin it sure has an uncluttered sight picture. I can shoot better at 50 yards than I can at 30 yards!

I still am and always will be a 5 pin shooter. My two newest bows (Mathews Halon 32 and Chill R) are set up with Black Gold sights. My spouse has Black Gold on her SDX as well. No issues what so ever. Sights are a very personal choice with any weapon, but have a look at all your options.... good luck.

I switched to a single pin a few years back and this helped with my target shooting accuracy as it has many others.
A lot of great sights out there to choose from, but I use the HHA King Pin. It's simple, accurate, reliable, and voted #1 single pin sight the past 10+ years.

Cant go wrong with a Montana Black Gold or a Spot Hogg. I bought a used bow recently and it had a spot hogg fast eddie xl single pin on it, but I wanted a sliding multi pin so I sold it. I think the components on the spot hogg fast eddie were smoother and of higher tolerances than the Montana Black Golds, but both are just fine.

I like my black gold.. but am seriously considering the new Option archery sight. The advantage of both a single pin and a multiple pin sight that you can flip out of your way for just the single pin when wanted. Seems like best of both worlds

I have a spot hog 5 pin with 2 of the pins removed. I like the 3 pin system. My top pin is set at 30 yards. 2nd is 50, 3rd is 60 (my personal limit). My top pin is only a couple inches high at 20 yards and only about 5 inches low at 40. This gives me a fairly un-cluttered sight picture but still has the longer range pins if needed.

Although I wouldn't take an initial 60 yard shot I would if a followup shot presented itself. All bets are off when your trying to get another arrow into an animal.
My dad always chuckled at the amount of pins I have on my bow. He used a 1 pin sight for 40 years. Sighted in at 20 yards. Killed more deer with a bow than most people. He never hunted the west with it though and NEVER shot past 30 yards.
He saw me shooting at 60 yards one day and asked why I practiced that far and said "That aint archery hunting and besides its not like your ever going to shoot at a deer that far anyhow"
On TV I see guys flinging arrows at animals out to 80 yards like its normal practice.
I seen a guy on Solohunter shoot at an elk in 40MPH wind at 80-90 yards....
How the times have changed and what people will do for the camera hero shot sickens me.
Back to the sights, the singlepin I liked the best was the HHA Adjustable. I could really shoot well with it. I just didn't like the added movement of having to mess with it. But to each their own.

I know a fair numbers of hunters who took a 5 pin and pulled a few out for various reasons. Once they saw the sight picture and clarity of a single pin they switched again. People make a big deal out of having to adjust the knob but it really hasn't been a factor at all. Most of my elk shots I laze a tree where he or she is gonna walk anyway and adjust to that. My accuracy has gone way for the in between pin shots of my old sight.

I tried out my new chrono last night.
I'm shooting a 426 grain arrow for reference. It is very flat shooting making the three pin setup work great for me. I can hold center of a 10" circle and hit inside the circle out to 39 yards. For close shots I hold lower third and further shots upper third. I don't go to my second pin until the range finder reads 45+.
