My whole season was just put in perspective.....

I was recounting my success this season at a potluck last night when the folks I was having dinner with told me of their nephew.
What a small world? I knew I had read the story of this unfortunate mishap.
I got a bunch more information and background.

For heavens sake folks please be careful the rest of the year.
Keep the pack size reasonable and check your gear.
If you are hunting in an area with bad cell coverage consider one of the emergency comms devices (epirb, spot, sat phone) (I carry at least one of the three at all times).
Take extra batteries, replenish the first aid kit and have a partner if possible!!!!!!!
