Is he right outside your house? It looks like he is really really close to where you are taking the pictures from! Good looking buck! I wish I had some lawn ornaments like that!

I love cruising through Genoa, I built houses in Jobs peak for years. Had a bruiser buck I'd watch almost everyday out by the golf course. Litter ally deer in the front yards driving through town. Gotta love the Genoa Bar too!

I know wat you mean, there is 1 abosolute bruiser that hangs out on my buddy's field and the settle meyers feilds, last year he was a 30 inch 5x6, dont usually see him till the august so hopefully he made it through the hunting season.

Damn bucks get big for a reason, just about start of season they hangout on the front porches and eat apples. It is a great area, haven't been able to pull a tag there yet. Its fun to just look and practice field judging and drool a little.

In my opinion the genoa tag is not worth it unless you have land to hunt. I have seen 2 140 buck outside of genoa n 3 years of hiking here. And no it is zone 192, 194,196 is the next zone up after 192, it is an awesome zone , ive seen some giants over there.

I do agree, if you don't know somebody its tough. You can hike in from several areas but they move into the valley as soon as season opens. My buddy took a nice 4x in the late archery hunt last year. Wasn't a booner but a nice buck. Extremely tough but probably not the area is pick if I had that tag. I live in between 291 and 192, had 291 last year and did pretty good. I've seen more hogs over in 192 tho.
NV hunter, have you checked out the west side of Carson?

I do ALOT of hiking shed hunting on the west side of carson. Lots of good deer with some decent genetics, i probly sound like everyone else that talks about that zone wen i say that lots of big deer come down with the snow. Iwas at a taxidermist in washoe for my dads elk and he had a nice non typical from there. If you want some more in depth ibfo you can pm me.
