Arizona & New Mexico Coues Draw - Looking for Info

I am interested in rifle hunting for some trophy Coues deer in the USA. My understanding is New Mexico has no point system, but that Arizona has a bonus point system.

Can someone direct me to where I can find drawing odds for Arizona? [I have been looking online unsuccessfully]
What units in Arizona [and New Mexico] would you recommend for trophies?
Does Arizona or New Mexico require guide and/or outfitters?
Are there large plots of public land to hunt Coues deer on?

I am very new to Coues deer and am just starting to look for info.

Thanks for any recommendations.

I would pick AZ over NM. AZ has produced more B&C bucks then Old or New Mexico. The units by the border are loaded with deer and easy to draw because of the problems associated with hunting down there. You will have a new disdain for illegal immigration after hunting in the desert. AZ does have a point system and you do not need to use an outfitter. Check out the prior Eastman's MRS on AZ, I know they did a section on AZ Coues in the last couple of years. The October rifle hunts are easier to draw then the later Nov hunts because of the rut. Archery hunts are OTC and most units have an archery tag that goes from Dec- Jan. January is a great time to hunt them because they are rutting pretty good. Good luck!

NM is a good state for coues deer but they are exclusively found in the southwest corner of the state. While scouting for elk in the Gila I ended up finding a dead coues deer head that scored 113" B&C!!! (A true giant!) I had no idea that coues deer lived in that part of the Gila so they are few and far between in the Gila but coues deer are found in more concentration farther south of the Gila. (Hidalgo county and such). Good luck!!
