Grant me the strength and wherewithal to find a buck in the Rubies! Was last choice of second draw..I don't know whether to be happy or not.

If that area doesn't have good cell service then buy the new delorme inreach. I got picked earlier this year to do a trial run with it and it's amazing. I was able to email and text my wife while I was turkey hunting deep into the Colorado mountains. Also it's got a SOS in case of an emergence. It also has a bunch of other features. It's a must have for a solo hunter like my self. The service is $10 a month. I look at like having life insurance and carrying a pistol. It's priceless when you need it.Is there cell coverage in the Rubies? May be solo and wanting to know for emergency/other half..
Yes you can receive texts back to your phone. You have to download the app to your smart phone then bluetooth the inreach to your phone. It's really easy even for this country boy.de_ballew, can you also receive texts. Do you use it with a smart phone or is it a stand alone device? fatrascal.
You should be fine, it's not Ca.Can anyone comment on leaving your rig parked at trailheads or dead ends for several days unattended in the Rubies area?
I've never had a problem with leaving my truck at the trailhead. Can anyone comment on leaving your rig parked at trailheads or dead ends for several days unattended in the Rubies area?
+1 the biggest bucks I have seen keep to themselves. But plenty of 150-160" bucks grouped up together. If you find one just wait a few minutes and the rest will start popping up all over.I've never had a problem with leaving my truck at the trailhead.
Big bucks will be up high at timberline. Forks and spikes will be mid to low with does
