Anyone hunting coyotes yet?

It's been warm here in Reno so I've been eating for some snow. I think my daughter and I will go next weekend and try to find the monster dog that eluded me last year. Dam thing looks like a German Shepard.

Anyone else been out?

My bro has missed 2 yotes and shot at them 3 times. Checked the gun, and we can't find where it's hitting LOL. So I need to help him resight in his .308

Went out with my dad for my birthday on Wednesday and made four sets. Called in a coyote on the first stand. He came in from my left and winded us. I tried to make a loping shot on him (I should have tried to stop him) and ended up missing him twice. Happy Bday to me.

Called this one in on Monday (Veterans Day) to 20 yards not too far from my desert home.......one arrow later he was mine.

Those salt cedars look alot like the ones I see dogs running around in, around las vegas! Unfortunately its all in city limits and even an arrow will get you in trouble.

Not yet, i'll start hitting it hard towards the end of Dec. I've got one more buck hunt left this year.

I'm going out in the morning. I hear the Gov trapper was called in to get rid of the coyotes in this area so I'm hoping to get a few before they set traps.

Thanks.....I really enjoy calling predators into bow range. I believe this one makes 25 with a bow.

Went out once during the government shutdown had 2 come in from behind and I choked lol. Resited my rifle and just finished getting everything ready for tomorrow. Hopefully my shotgun isn't off as bad as my rifle was lol

shot one yesterday with a 160grain my broter loaded for me for my .270, i love that set up. he surprisingly was allready in his winter coat, very thick and beautifull.

Ok let me clarify that a little. We have called in that many, but only killed 7 of the 11.

Very cool. I went out last Sunday with no luck. It's still to warm and I haven't had time to get out of the immediate area. With so many guys hunting dogs they have become a custom to the calls.

Looks like you've been busy. i need to step my game up. we've only got one.

Yeah they add up quick when they come in pairs and triples. One day two weeks ago we called in 1 single, 2 doubles and a triple in one day. Only bad part was they were so spread out by the time they got to us that we could only get the lead coyote.

Hey jarheadhunter how are you liking that Shockwave? From the look of it my guess is you like it alot! We tried to go out yesterday but when I got up it was raining so I went back to bed. I'm glad we decided to stay home because it ended up raining all day. Congrats on all the dogs!
