Anyone find any yet? Mulie or Elk.

I was a pretty dedicated shed hunter back in the midwest and either this weekend or next I will be headed out for a trip in unit 45 to look around.

Good luck finding some... I wish I lived closer so I could do some shed hunting out there. I guess I'll have to settle for spring turkey in Kansas :)

Just a little early for Muleys around here. There was 10 bucks in a herd close to the house on Tuesday and one had dropped 1 side. Saw 6 bucks together the day before and one had dropped 1 side.

Same here. Have seen 5 or 6 bucks, all still with at least one horn (2 of them), rest still sporting full head of horns.

hasn't been a bad winter, hasn't been stressful. I bet back east and down south where they have had a horrible winter that most of those whites have dropped, im curious about that, anyone know?

Seemed like they pretty much stayed normal on the shedding here in ok. Ive found about 10 sheds so far which is normal. About 25% or so still carrying. The winter was mild until feb but then the snow came and hasn't stopped.

I was shut out unfortunately. The road was closed up to the trailhead, and doesn't open up until April 1st ( rookie mistake on my part), but I did get a chance to glass some elk from waaaaaaay off on the mountain. Snow was still pretty deep as well and their were tracks all over the place.

Usually back in Missouri the whitetails, at least the bigger guys, would have dropped by now. I haven't heard from a good friend back there who owns a lot of land on the Iowa/Missouri border if he has found any more yet. Two weeks ago he had only found one decent shed.

Went out today with my Dad, Uncle and a buddy of mine. We found 8 new sheds and a few from last year! Great day!

seen a whole lot of deer still sporting head gear, big bucks and small bucks alike on Tuesday. did see an old bull moose that has dropped and dog and I covered a lot of ground looking for his sheds but to no avail.. dog sure gave me a scare though... snow was pretty deep on logging rd so I decided to go straight up the mountain, half way up the dog stopped and its hackle stoof straight up and tail pointed straight back as he stared into timber making the strangest noises with its nose, he then pissed and rolled all around in it and refused to go down that direction. not sure what it was, but deff something dog didn't like and hasn't met before. lion or bear im guessing. gave me an eerie feeling seeing him do that.
