You don't need much power for antelope, but the wind is a problem especially in Wyoming. My go-to rifle for antelope is a Remington 700 30 Hart that shoots a 180 BT at 3250fps...dead-on at 300 yards, extremely flat and great in the wind.

Two of my last three antelope were shot with my Model 70 .300 WSM and 150 gr Accubonds. The other was shot with my .25-06 Sako and 115 gr Ballistic Tips. I'm more inclined to use the .300 WSM because it handles the wind better.

But the 25-06 is special:D This will be my next rifle purchase.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;). I shoot a 25-06 with 117gr SGK with excellent results, although If I could ever draw an antelope tag, I'll probably be using my new 7-08 on the next go-round. No real reason to not use the 25-06 other than I have something new to play with.

I usually use one of my 30.06's. Same rifles I use for deer and elk. But this year I bought a model 660 Remington carbine in .243.
I'll probably give it a try on antelope and deer. I reload for .243 already, for a friend's daughter. She's taken antelope, deer, and two cow elk with it. That girl can shoot. Barnes ttsx and Hornady gmx bullets.

I have taken antelope with a 270 WSM and 25-06 and both were flat shooting and handled the wind just fine. I just completed an AR15 early last year, in 6.5 Grendel that I have yet to take an animal with, but plan to use it for antelope in 2016 if I get a tag.

My favorite antelope rifle I have is a Ruger 1B in 6mm Remington. I use a 100 gr. Nosler Partition in it and the rifle has a 6x42mm Leupold scope.

My other rifle is also a Ruger 1B in 30-06 with a fixed 4x Leupold. I shoot 165 gr. Accubonds or Partitions in it.

I'm a lucky man and just finished a build on a .280 Nosler AI. Not sure on bullets in that one yet. Start at 140-150-160 and see what it likes and I like. The bullet will be Nosler though. That one should be fun.

Since I'm not someone who has a rifle for each big game animal I hunt, I use my Remington 7mm mag with 150 grain
core-lokt bullets for antelope and deer. 175 grain for elk.

I've used a .223, .243, .270, and a .300 wsm. All well placed shots and the one I shot with the .300 wsm with a 180 grain round ran the farthest by far.
