Just received my antelope mount back... haven't figured out an exact spot for him yet so I hung him on the fence for a pic. A few guys were asking about antelope taxidermists so I thought I would post a picture of him. Taxidermist is in Blue Hill Nebraska - Masterpiece Taxidermy. IMO Todd does great work.

Very pretty mount and one heck of a buck!! It would be neat if you could get some boards off an old barn or something that resemble your fence and put those up on the wall as a backing plate behind the mount. It just looks great!

Man that really looks good. He even has kindof a "I'm the king here, get out of my space" expression on his face. Congratulations. That is a good idea to use some reclaimed wood or something for the mount. It does look good there. Old snow fences are pretty cheap and available and have that look if you don't find something else. If you take a hatchet and "weather" the edges and then put a sealer on them you can make it look like they aren't saw cut, too. Attach some sagebrush or something and have a really cool little scene. A guy that my dad worked with was an artist with a claw hammer to make the rustic looking custom cabinets and things. It can be kindof a skill to make them look right. Sorry got sidetracked.

You guys really have me thinking... I'm looking up the fake prickly pear and sage habitat pieces I could attach. I really like the idea. Will see what happens. I'll post a picture if I get it done.

Ever score him? looks big.

Are Antelope awesome or what? Might be the best hunt in the US!

Being from IL I love when people are like what's that? that's in America!?

I had an official scorer in Laramie score him before the drying period an he was just over 82". I'm not sure where he ended up after the drying period.

Great buck and awesome mount - congrats! Like some of the other posters have said, he does really standout against those weathered fence boards...
