Wow- Gorgeous. I love unique mounting ideas- thanks for sharing. Do you have any other unique mounts?
I have a couple more in the works but here are 2 that I really like. The deer is a little generic but I haven't seen this style of plaque before. He was an archery buck so my taxidermist made the plaque to fit the archery theme. The bobcat was a custom form made by my taxidermist. He was a 38 pound tom that I called in with a little hand held call a couple years ago.

Hilltop- thanks again for sharing. I like the "arrowhead-ish" plaque. And the tom is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing the waterfowl.

If you happen to freeze the antelope head, take it out and put the head down inside a 5-gallon bucket to thaw for a day or two. Be careful to not let the sun and/or heat get close to the head, as it will spoil the meat, and make the process much less enjoyable. Keeping the head in a garbage bag, inside a cooler with ice is best.

Curious what the mount that secures the heads to the plaque looks like. Long bolt or rod in the Axis Joint?

Just an idea, if you skin out the heads and cape , it would probably paid for your euro's. Taxidermists buy capes all the time and some will just trade you a euro for your cape. I love the one on the left and that is the one I would of taken if all 3 were together... This is my latest.

Holy crap, that is one of the best Bobcat mounts I've seen. Usually the face gets messed up.

If anyone is interested, I use Blue Hill Taxidermy in Blue Hill Nebraska. He is a world champion taxidermist. His little shop if full of awards that he has won. I wouldn't take a trophy anywhere else... His prices are a little above the norm but not much. He is worth the extra money in my opinion.
