Well I know it is early but what is the condition of the antelope herd in central Wyoming so far?
Fine. It's tough to predict as the spring storms are what really does a number on deer/antelope, so it will be another few months. If we start getting lots of snow that's deep and crusts over and below zero temps toward the end of February/March then we will be hurting. Last year, April was our snowiest month, but the snows came in 1" here, 2" there and there was no severe cold. Wildlife benefited tremendously from that moisture as well as summer rains.

I talked to my cousin that lives in Wright, they said they lost alot of antelope. The dnr told them about half their goats around there died off from blue tongue, he didn't figure it was that many, but they did find alot of dead ones. Not sure how it's going right now. That's just what I heard.

Tough to say how accurate that is. There have been localized die-offs I have heard due to the severity of the drought in 2012.
