Talking to my barber today and she said that her boyfriend was stuck up in the hills above Silt at his cow camp with 9 inches of snow.

The Flattops north of Glenwood Springs and the Grizzly Creek fire got a good coating of snow also.

I also just took the plastic covering off of what was left of my veggie garden. It looks like it made it through the last two days alright.

How's that snow working on damping down the Colorado fires?
It's doing a good job with the Grizzly Creek one. I read a report yesterday that they pulled just about all of the firefighters off of the line because it was too wet and were going to wait until it dried out before sending them back in.

I drove through Glenwood Canyon yesterday and there usually are some hot spots with smoke curling up into the sky, yesterday there was nothing. But with the snow on the ground it really showed just what was and what wasn't burnt in the Canyon and along the ridges.

I'm sure that the other fires experienced the same thing. It was some welcomed moisture.
