Guys,

Referring to Deer/Antelope

How can I tell how many tags went to NR Random Draw went to 2nd choice?
How can I tell how many tags went to NR Random draw Specials went to 2nd choice?
How can I tell how many NR Preference points tags went to 2nd choice? (I assume none do)
How can I tell how many NR Preference points Special draw tags went to 2nd choice? (I assume none do)
Do I loose my points if I draw in PP special on the first choice? (99% sure I do)

I went here but I still cant quite grasp it. Or I at least want to be SURE. Before I burn my points.

If this drum has been beaten please forward me to that post. I saw a couple but im still confused.

Basically we are looking for units where we use our tag for one species and get a tag for a second species without burning our points for both.

I would assume if there is a quote of 10 and 72 people applied as first choice then none make it through to second choice. That should hold true in any drawing I recon.

The units I was looking at you had a better chance applying into the preference point drawing with 0 points than you had applying to the PP special??? Does this happen often?

PM's would be welcome if you prefer to explain it that way.

Pretty straight forward,

quota of 10 in the random draw, (5) 1st choice apps and (10) 2nd choice apps; 5 and 5 drew tags.

PP Draw is 1st choice only as shown in the reports. Also, the 1st choice applicants is the total number of applicants; a party of 6 will show as 6 applicants.

Sometimes the special draw is harder to draw... weird but true. There is no way to predict what other hunters are going to do when they apply. I have seen quite a few examples of this over the years.

1. Look at the NR random draw demand report: Compare total quota to 1st choice apps. If there were less 1st choice apps than total quota then the remainder went to 2nd choice.
2. Look at the NR special random draw demand report: Do the same as above.
3. None: preference points are used only for your 1st choice.
4. None: same as above.
5. Yes you will lose your points if you draw your 1st choice. It doesn't matter if it's regular or special.
