I was thinkin about makeing the switch to 2" blazers but I practace out to 80 yards. Would it be a good idea to make the switch for far distances? Witch has better control at those distances 2" or 4.5" vanes?

If you are spined properly for your set up you will have no issues with 2" Blazers. I shoot out to 100 yards quite frequently and use them with great results. Some guys will claim you need larger fletchings for better control and tighter groups. I would just have to say I respectively disagree. Its all in your tune and that includes the right spine arrow

I shoot 2 inch Blazers with as much helical as I can get on them, and shoot Magnus Stinger's out to 100yds(practice only) and they seem to fly and group great. (and I am far from a perfect shot)

I have shot Blazer vanes for five seasons now. They perform very well. Besides that, in my opinion with as fast as the bows are shooting now, the larger vanes are really noisey compared to the Blaser vanes. Plus they're a little lighter and stablize an arrow as good as larger vanes. I would have to agree with RUTTIN, put as much helical as you can and they will perform great. I have a couple of friends that are fletching up arrows with four Blaser vanes with alot of helical. They typically use these arrows when shooting the larger fixed blade broadheads, they claim it makes a difference in accuracey at longer ranges. I can't tell the difference, but these guys are shooting 910's at 3D tournaments. They notice every little inaccuracey, that must be why I can very bet them.

Well I have shot nothing but 2" vanes since I switched to a compound bow. This picture may say all there is to say about how I feel they perform.
