Ya I'll buy a nice fat steer at the 4H sale before I pay anywhere close to that for a tag other then moose or sheep.
Your choice to make...I like to hunt and I can make more money anytime I want.

I do understand your point though, and I don't agree with the proposed new NR special tag fees. However, no doubt there is going to be all kinds of interesting opportunities to think about when most people choose to not spend the money on special fees for elk, deer, and pronghorn.

I think the confusion came when I assumed he was specifically talking about Wyoming. I quoted "There are very few places where 5-8 points gets you a hunt with a lot of public land and quality bucks. "

What I now believe he meant was "Other than Wyoming, there are very few places where 5-8 points gets you a hunt with a lot of public land and quality bucks. " Obviously, because he listed the crappy situations everywhere else in the country.
Sorry for the confusion guys. I did mean other than WY. I thought it was obvious when I said WY was the best value in the west for antelope.
I was trying to say that 5-8 points in WY is the sweet spot. IMO building more than 8 points isn't worth it because there are so many quality hunts that are available at that point level.

Mallards I wasn't calling you an a-hole. It was just a funny quote that my buddy's dad used to say all the time. I KNOW your feelings aren't hurt, I've seen you spar with Buzz on here and a few other forums! Both of you guys are pretty thick skinned.

I didn't mean to derail the thread NV-hunter.
