I shot my first bear last night on the opener!

Congratulations on a successful hunt, rifle or bow? I didn't fill a bear tag this spring so I still have mine for the fall season, I like to have one in case a bear causes issues while I'm on one of my backpacking trips for mule deer. Easier to have the tag and not have to use it then to have to explain to the Conservation Officer why I had to kill a bear that was being a nuisance.

rifle, when I shot it at 8 yards it dropped like a rock in its tracks. 30-06 using 180 grain core-lokt bullets.
