Well the old 257 Weatherby does it again, my best buck to date. Shot him 2 weeks ago at 439 yards, the accubond dropped him in his tracks. found him chasing 3 does around on a sage brushed covered hill side, covered a couple hundred yards in a hurry to get into shooting range, he watched me for the last hundred yards as i didn't have any cover left, he was so concerned with the does that he just didn't care that i was there. i ranged him and decided it was time for the shot before the does took him completely out of the basin, after the hustle / running to get to him i couldn't get steady from the heavy breathing, i put the rifle back down and just relaxed for a few seconds and watched him through the bino's, once i felt comfortable i ranged him again and one well placed shot in the shoulder he was mine! This all happened on the 5th day of a hard hunt and a day i almost took off because i was just wore down from the previous four days, glad i pushed myself to get out there.

Thanks everyone, it was definitely a trying week for me but i got it done. I have found that once i start getting frustrated i need to sit back, relax a bit and enjoy hunting instead of making it like work and good things will come. its easy to push yourself too hard and not enjoy it. Hope everyone else had a great season as well.
