The old GM 305 V6 was a good engine. Our 62 GMC seed truck has 1 in it. This thing will use a quart of oil to go 10 miles to round trip to get seed, and another quart to auger the seed into the drills. It will make a puddle of oil under the exhaust. There is blue smoke for atleast a 1/2 mile behind it. How it can still run and not foul all the spark plugs with that much oil going through it is beyond me but every fall and spring we put a battery in it and it fires right up and makes 3 trips to the seed plant. I call it smokey305 is a lame attempt at building a motor by Chevrolet #305sbcsucks, #emissions

It's far better than the other forums where you get your head ripped off by the old-timers every time you ask a question….Why didn't you use the search button, there was a thread about that 18 months ago…..Why didn't you do your research and scout that sheep unit before you applied for it and drew it….etc, etc. It's what we do! 315
