I believe Nevada has a deal where you can put in fir tags without purchasing license. And if you draw it you obviously have to purchase a license or maybe it automatically charges. Not sure... someone will chime in. That's why this place rocks
Good to see you back on the forum bro! Good luck in the draw

They do but here is the problem. If you draw a tag without buying the license you will automatically get charged for the license and it will be sent to you. The big issue with NOT buying your license is that if you do NOT draw a tag you will not build points.

Big and bold in IKIC's statement is the biggest mistake folks make, including my brother who moved out of NV 10-15 years later.......he kept complaining that his point total never changed, took me hours to explain it to him.

Yep I unfortunalty found this out the hard way or I should say my wife did. After three years I realized her points where not increasing. Then a phone call made my guts jump into my mouth. Trust me I was not prepared to tell my wife I was responsible for her not building points!

This is the year to draw an elk tag, NDOW recommended something like 11,000 tags this year. 10 years ago we had 7500 elk, this years survey says around 17,500 elk. RGJ had a good article a few weeks ago. Couple buddy's have 15+ points and are hoping for a bull tag. My brilliant butt bought another bull point.

I'm still in the waiting period but it would be cool for the wife to draw.

It would be sweet if the waiting periods were reduced to 5 years for elk and 2 for antelope, that way I might have a chance to hunt elk again before I need a motorized wheel chair to do it !!!!!!
