I want to try one. But don't know if the 1400 is worth it for that bow.

I got a pretty good deal on mine that trimmed a little off the $1,400 but still a tuff pill to swallow for a bow. I keep telling myself bows can't get any better so at almost 56 years old this will be my last one.............RIGHT !!!!!! we'll see

packer58...tell yourself whatever it takes to swallow that pill! You know that won't be the case though. I hope my FT comes in soon. I've been picking up accessories along the way. Just got in my Stokerized 10" Hunter stab yesterday, got a G5 quiver, took the limbdriver prov rest that i had on my VT since it was only 6 months old, ordered a nice Montana Black Gold 5 pin sight and a pair of Hoyt side plates. I can't wait til it's all together. Good luck to all you guys on your new bows!

I just took the plunge and ordered a Hoyt Spyder Turbo at 70# draw weight. Basically I’m getting the 2014 Cameron Hanes version made up in less draw weight. It’s going to upgrade a real, real old bow, 1980’s Martin Black Ram I started with.

My son is getting into the sport too, only the traditional archery version. We were up yesterday at Stalker Stickbows and South Cox fitted him and had him shoot some different bows and we ordered up a beautiful bow that South is making for my son.

I’m looking forward to going out to the bow range down the road from us with my son and shooting the bows at home in the yard. I’m going to get back into archery again and do better at shooting and practicing more often.

Awesome velvetfvr, looks great. It is a lot of dough and I thought about getting the Alum model, and I'd been holding off but when my son said he wanted to get into archery and hunting with a traditional bow it made it a whole less painful for me thinking about being able to shoot bows with him. I hit the buy button this morning just after ordering his yesterday.

You have a super nice rig right there......I was just busting your chops a little about the blackout !! I can't tell from the pick but are the limbs the carbon weave pattern ?

Yeah, that tactical carbon weave pattern. I would preference max 1 limbs but this was a great deal, so I can deal with it.

I had the Carbon Element. I thought there was no way to make a better bow. But, Hoyt did it with the Carbon Spyder. I have the CS3. I put a Hog Father site on it. Awesome! It is set at 75# and the draw is as smooth as silk.
I am shooting the Injextion arrows (400) 28". But I have ordered 2 Grizzly stick arrows from Alaskan Archery to try.

FT is in and all accessories are on it. Just got the Death Harp strings intalled yesterday. Still don't have it tuned but shooting 310 fps with 457 grain arrows isn't bad right off the bow press. I'll post px when I get it home next weekend!

Can you post specs as well when you post pics? That's some stellar speed with a heavy arrow!
