Congrats again. It's always nice to share these memories with family. I'm taking my oldest out this year for her first deer hunt. I don't really car how big but getting to see her as a deer comes by at 15 or 20 yds will be worth every minute.....memories it is what hunting is about.

155" gross 150" net. His beams and width was about 4-5" shorter than I thought. Which made me overestimate his score a little. But still super happy!!!!!! So pumped!!

Wow, I didn't realize this was your first big game animal period! I remember my first big game animal: a cow elk when I was thirteen. It was a very special experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. Since then I have taken 3 more cow elk, a bull, and muley buck. Some of the best memories of my life have been packing out deer and elk meat with my dad and brother. Working hard on a hunt and being successful is one of the best feelings ever. I haven't experienced taking a big game animal with a bow yet but that is my next goal. Lord willing it will happen soon. Congrats again!

This isn't my first big game animal. It's my first bow one, 2nd big game animal all time.

It sounded like your first big game animal if you'd never field dressed a deer. I guess I just miss understood. Is that the only tag you drew or did you get an elk tag as well?

Only this tag. It was my first time dressing and cutting up a buck because usually my grandpa is usually with us and he won't let me do any work.

Thanks!!! It was so awesome. And I just shot my bow, and when I am shooting I have alot more confidence in my ability. And I was pretty confident. Already can't wait until next year!!!
