NVbowhunter, wish I could fill my tag but life calls. This was my last week for the season and I cut it short by a few days, weather took its toll on me. Next year I hope to draw this tag again and put hard work in again and get the icing in the cake. Put a total of 13 days in solo over 2 trips and loved every moment. If only I was 20 years younger and had 2 more seasons to go. Filled my speed goat tag this year and have some meat in the freezer and a Mount coming soon. 50/50 ain't bad and we all know the odds on archery mule deer. Hopefully I can become consistent in harvesting mature bucks with a bow and beat the odds.

I see wat you mean. Atleast you go to get out and experience an awesome hunt! And yup, thereis a reason that the archery success rate last year was 8%, its not an easy hunt.

Finnally filled my tag!! After a total of 22 days of hunting including packing in, road hunting and hunting low,hig and everywhere in between, I shot a doe!!! I shot her in the shoshone range as i was driving in to hunt stuart canyon. 250 yd shot, right through the lungs and she dropped.I dont have pictures as I forgot my camera at the truck and didnt get back till well after dark. I had seen multiple very big bucks but they seem to have dissapeared on rifle opener, if any one has any questions on this area, I would be more than happy to share evrything i found out about this zone! PM if your interested.
