161 Colorado moose

I just got notified that I was the alternate for a 161 archery cow moose tag. I have already killed a bull so now I get to fill the freezer with some amazing meat. Any info on areas to find good concentrations of cows and good camp spots would be appreciated.

Hunt as high as you can in early September. If you get some weather, the cows will move down fairly quickly. I have seen quite a few near the Wyoming border in the western part of your area. If I had the tag, I would start in the upper end of Damfino Creek where it crosses the border or around line creek northeast of Buffalo Ridge. You probably can find moose just driving 6B.
