I'm on a couple of truck forums and one of the sponsors offers truck accessories. https://www.carid.com/

I believe what he is saying that if you are there in person the odds or you getting the tag right off is a lot better than sitting on a phone or having a website crash. It isn't Idaho but Utah tags go fairly quick through the www and they have had issues with the website crashing where the...

The last pack that I bought I loaded it up with some heavy items and then put it on and walked around the store. One of the salesmen thought that I had lost my mind until I told him what I was doing it for.

The best thing that you can do is to look at a few different units. Then go onto Colorado statistics page and look at what those units require for the type of hunt that you would like. With 15 points I would look at units that require 13 or 14 points for a almost guaranteed draw. Even being a...

The first year that I had a cow elk tag here in Colorado it was for 3rd season. We had a foot of snow on the ground and after working until midnight the Friday before the opening I managed to sleep in. My hunting partner called me at around 7 am. I got up and headed over to his house and then...

I didn't move over here to Colorado until 87, and I remember it was during 4th season I believe. The Eagle County airport is also the base for the HIATS (high altitude training school) and it was the base are for the operation. There were a number of hunting camps to the north of Vail that...

Same thing happened here in Colorado in the late 80's. A storm dumped 3 feet + of snow north of I-70, the Governor at the time ordered the National Guard out to get the hunters out of the back country and ended up helicoptering a number of hunting camps out. Some hunters wanted to stay...

This video was in Utah a couple of years ago when some hunters took a trailer into a area where they shouldn't of.

I've been watching ATV's on trailers that are all chained up and covered in mud. The trucks are just covered in mud, the hills look like they are miserable. According to the forecast it is suppose to clear up for a couple of days before we get hit again. Sounds like you made a good call...

I'll have a coffee royal for you come Saturday morning while I am snug as a bug in a nice warm house. But then there is a big part of me wishing that I was out in the elements with my trusty rifle also.

Your weather forecast isn't looking good for a few days but if it clears up you should have some fantastic hunting.

I'd start by going to the Montana FWP and start reading. https://fwp.mt.gov/ Just from watching their show on Animal Planet on Sundays I have learned that they have all kinds of regulations, walk in programs, and other things that other states don't have.

Looks like the majority of Coloradans came to their senses and sent the anti's packing on this one. There was also a ballot initiative in Denver to ban a meat slaughter house and ban the use and manufacture of items containing fur and feathers that got shot down.

Safe travels and shoot straight.

One thing that I am hoping for is that a number of TV talk shows here in Colorado have come out pretty much against ballot box biology on this one even when some of them were for the reintroduction of wolves. Some even admitted the cluster that the wolves were and admit that they had screwed...

Yesterday we had a steady downpour of rain for a few hours as the above radar map shows. I have no idea of just how much rain we got but it was substantial, the hills also got a good covering of snow down to about 7500 feet. Well, this morning we have snow here at 6500 feet and I am sure...

The closer that we get to next Tuesday the more miss information I see that is put out by the anti's. I'm just crossing my fingers on this one,

It's been raining here for most of the night. Looking at radar I need to put another pot of coffee on. The elk and deer hunters will be getting wet for the next couple of days,

Yep, tomorrow and Wednesday look like days to put on some extra pots of coffee.

It all depends on just what was burnt, the condition of the area, along with if they are going to allow you into the area. Most fires are not a scorched earth type of fire but they jump around leaving green areas that the animals will flock to for shelter. If it was long enough ago, even a...
