    Eastmans' Mule Deer Hunter Course

I have been hunting deer since I was old enough to get a tag (age 12 in California). Almost all have been mule deer. This year will be my 67th season. I have no idea how many tags I have filled, I am sure it is well over 100. When I am hunting, I can almost feel it when I am going to see deer...

    V.J. Day 1945

I did see a post about it, but little to no coverage by the news. I n 2014 my wife and I were in Hawaii for our 50 th Anniversary and we toured the USS Missouri where it officially ended. They have replica documents and signing set onboard where it actually happened. Also visited the USS...

    SAD DAY

Some of you really piss me off! I am a disabled veteran and I started this thread to honor fallen brothers, not discuss politics. I made no political comments and I expect none to be posted here, just respect for fallen brothers! You want to discuss politics, start your own damn thread. I am...

    Removable blades or fixed blade?

I have several of the removable blade knives, along with a bunch of regular ones. I do like the folders better, especially in the field for deer or smaller animals. Gutting and butchering are totally different and I do use different knives for that. I have a custom skinner with a gut hook I love...

    Ammo

When I was my local gun emporium yesterday picking up my new Ruger #1 that I bought from an out of state dealer, I noticed he had lots of powder, bullets and ammo. Primers still in short supply as well as the more popular powders. Things are getting better. I watched a guy pay 40.00 for 100...

    Ruger No 1 .300 Weatherby

I have both types. I'll use the collet type first, if it doesn't damage the bullet I'll use it. If it does.....oh well you know!

    Ruger No 1 .300 Weatherby

The down side is none of my brass fit the new rifle. The new Ruger has a much tighter chamber. I am going to have to resize everything I have (including loaded ammo). I'll have to pull the bullets and full length size them all.
