Everything I read talks about serving the venison raw. But these guys start the dogs on raw venison once the pup is weaned. I'm far from an expert but I would think cooked venison would certainly be better than any processed dog food. I'm not sure on the raw vs cooked.

good question. Both venison and salmon are great sources of protein. I know salmon has alot of omega-3 acids which are great for heart health; something the sled dogs definitely need.

Man that's great news. I have some friends that own a cabin on a lake in NW Ontario and they haven't been able to get to it since the pandemic started. Fortunately, they have a great neighbor who is taking care of the place (mowing grass, pest control, etc).

We ate at the Buckhorn Exchange in downtown Denver. They have hundreds of mounts on display. Food was great.

Thanks for the kind offer. We did the train and the mesa verde all in one day so we were burning the candle from both ends. We didnt get back from the train until after 6pm. The trip has been great but doing 4 national parks and 2 monuments in 10 days has us really running.

Mesa verda and black canyon NP. Ram was in black canyon.

Durango train ride was excellent but a little long at 7 hours. Spotted a nice muley in mesa verde. Hit the great sand dunes today. Smoke is really bad here in alamosa.

Did a raft trip on the animas in durango. Train ride from durango to Silverton tomorrow

I got in to working on the shuttle and space station at the end of their runs. Really cool tech.
