Poaching, why is it acceptable on predators, but not on ungulates?

So your cool with forced wolf re-introduction and liberal activists lobbying to close predator hunting seasons down and reducing ungulate tags so the wolves and other predators can prosper and flourish be damned what the wildlife agencies recommend?? Not trying to put words in your mouth here...

You dont eat coyotes? You should try them. Don't be worried about it until you start barking randomly.

The 40 acre deer refuge 2022

I'm guessing a coyote killed the coon. It was lying there dead. Coyotes are attracted to skunk smell so I figure he must have came in to see what all the fuss was a-boot. The skunk was very much alive. And VERY stinky. I had to sneak up behind that tree to shoot him with my pistol and I shot...

    Most memorable hunt…

I have lots of hunting memories. And while I cherish all of those memories, and while this may seem strange, the hunt that is most memorable is the day I killed this white crow. I was about 18 or 19 years old when I killed it. My buddy and I stood there for 20 minutes just looking at it. We...

    Poached Jerky For Sale!

To put it into perspective, a drunk driver who is caught over the legal limit has driven on average 300 times over the legal limit before they are finally caught..... Imagine applying that though process to poaching.....

Jim, Even though there is no general deer season for that unit? Seems to me it would be a multi-season permit?

    South Slope Diamond Mtn

Congrats. That is a great tag. 68% of the unit is public land. From everything I have read you should be a bale to kill a good buck there if you put forth some effort. I applied for that last year. This year I would have had a 1.1% chance on drawing the archery tag. lol

^^^ I hear ya about the ducks.... One year when I was hunting Canada's on the Susquehanna river in PA during the late February season I had a flock of a dozen full plumage bull sprigs land in my decoys. I can honestly say that several thoughts crossed my mind.....lol I guess self control got...

    Getting close!!

I might head to camp this weekend and poke around a bit to see how things are looking for our opener. I need to take a look at our well pressure tank and do a bit of post deer season cleanup. I didn't kill a bird last year. I am hoping with the new for 2022 changes that GA made starting this...
