We all struck out this year. I was really hoping my kid would draw a elk tag but it is what it is. Now just waiting on Wyoming and Ca results.

oh yes. Checking the mail box and watching for the mail man. I like it the way it works now better though. I get to find out if I draw at midnight. If I draw then no sleep for the rest of the night thinking about what the hunt could be and making plans.

Yes I do. That was the days when all we did is sit around and try to beat last years post count. Good times.

I put in about 40 miles or so looking last month but only found 2. I think with the mild winter the deer are higher up on the mountains the usual.

Like others have said here. They aren’t hard to hunt more of a terrain hunt to find a route to get to them. We killed a great goat in Nv a few years back and I was able to find one right away with glassing high into the cliffs and rock caves. We had a camp for 5 days on our backs but dumped off...

It’s only going to continue to happen. Sad to hear again.
