When I was a kid my Dad used to hunt them. He hunted them at night with a couple of hounds. Usually the dogs would tree the raccoon, then shoot them with a .22 rimfire rifle. What I remember most is the mosquitos, they were fierce!

Down here in SW Colorado, some areas are thick with them. Usually it is where there are cattle. Several years ago I was sitting near some oak brush having lunch while I was elk hunting. I picked 4 or 5 of those little buggers off of my shirt. I moved pretty quick. Usually during hunting season...

What a waste of money. Colorado is the very southern part of their historical range and there probably were not very many here at their peak population.

I think the truck is still registered to him and not the LLC. I am pretty sure Medicade is going to come after him to pay for the medical costs they end up paying for. I still need to find out about the details of his business and how it's set up. He also has a mobile home that is paid for.

Finally got my son home from the hospital. Had surgery last Friday. They took all the old hardware out from the surgery 30 years ago and put in a permanent port for infusions. He has to have them for 6 weeks to knock out the infection. Then more surgery to put his ankle back together. What...

My son has his own trucking business and travels all over the western US. I got a call last week from him about problems with his ankle. (he crushed it in a motorcycle accident 30 years ago). He can't drive, so I left Sunday morning for Minnesota, almost 1400 miles from here in SW Colorado...

I'll pass right now. I am waiting until they get transplant & replacement research to the point that I can get a total body replacement. Take my head (and all that I have learned in over 80+ years on this planet) and put it on the body of an 18 to 25 year old donor. Now that will be an event!!!

I looked it up and now I know what the plant looks like, see it around some too. Also said it is toxic to animals....must not be to turkeys LOL!
