I'm back in the waiting game for a tag that is turned back in. All 3 tags were gone within a few minutes.

Well, do we have anyone else sitting in line in hopes of snagging a tag this morning? I took a look at the leftovers yesterday and my second choice unit for deer muzzle loader has a single tag left over. My third choice has two tags. Who knows I might get lucky.

From what I understand he only takes Velmo or whatever that payment app is and the customer has no recourse with them when he just takes the money and runs.

Some more pictures of what hit Glenwood Canyon and I-70, these are all right around the Bair Ranch exit 129 on the east end of the canyon. This car is pointed west in the east bound lane. You can see the guardrail in this picture and relate just how much debris is on the freeway

Glenwood Canyon is still closed as they remove all the mud and rocks that came down the other day. From the pictures on TV the Bair Ranch exit area took the blunt of it with huge boulders that came down. They have shown a picture of the exit 129 sign that has boulders and mud up at least 4-5...

I also have a 257 but like the 25-06 for a little bit more umph and a few more yards.

I picked up a box of Hornady Whitail 115 grain loads when I first got my 25-06 and their advertised velocity is 3100 fps. They shot extremely well out of mine but I knew that I wanted to drop down in bullet weight and shoot the Barnes 100 grain TTSX out of a reload.

For me it would be my 25-06 shooting a Barnes 100 grain TTSX at 3200 fps. That is what I used for my coues deer at 420 yards and he just dropped. I keep thinking that I need to load it up a little faster to 3300 fps but I then ask myself why when it does such a good job at 3200.
