Contest- Win a $300 package Javelin Lite carbon bipod + leg extensions from Spartan Precision Equipment

Thanks, I think he's a good solid boar for an inland grizzly where we were hunting. I was super happy, he had great hair (no rubs) and I was able to shoot him with my Dad's .338 that he loved so much. This was my first grizzly, so I was pretty easy to please :D

Mostly solo out of state (90%) for me, for years! I love the challenge and the freedom to adjust on the fly! Plus for a iong time it seemed like no one would commit so I wasn't going to let that stop me! Since my mom and dad passed away I still only hunt with just a few people other than my...

    Who taught you to hunt?

Dad and Mom got me started, but I was immediately addicted. For over 45 years since I have been absorbing everything I can from all my hunting experiences across the West and Ak, as well as, picking up any knowledge I can from reading, hearing about or participating in other people's hunting...

30-06 and 180 gr bullet load suggestions

If you end up needing a factory option that's cheap and typically, readily available, try the old green and yellow box Remington with the 180 PSP core- lokt bullets. I know most people use the next level of premium bullets now, but in a 30.06 at factory velocities, the regular Core- lokts have...

So...What are your plans for 2021?

I'm at 7 also and still not sure when and where I should try :). I kept putting it off because I was busy with other scheduled hunts and messed around and got more points than I ever thought I'd build for antelope!

    2020 Mule Deer Success Thread

Finally getting an opportunity to post my CO and MT Muley pics. CO was a little tough this time. Things have changed a bit in 10 years, but still a fun hunt for an easy draw! MT seemed like rut activity was slow also, but still a great hunt with good friends! We did a marathon from OR to CO...

    Another Deer Season Wrapped Up

I was able to punch my tag on a nice fat black tail buck again this season here in Oregon. These old brush bucks can be frustrating, but sure are fun to hunt! They sure make a pile of great steak and burger.
