Had to cut the trip short due to my kid being sick. Luckily, I was close by, so I came home. He is doing better now. I'll be back out after the javelinas next year. Good luck to all.

Taking off to AZ in about an hour in search of the elusive javelina (rifle hunt). Hope to return home with some good memories, meat and a cool story to tell.

Don't have anything to post this year. Hopefully I'll be posting on next year's elk success thread.

Hunted hard for the entire 7-day season and saw fewer deer than other years. Very dry conditions throughout the unit. No bucks harvested. Still had a great time with the crew. Already planning for the spring javelina hunt.

Congrats... great first bull!

We did get rain/hail on Friday afternoon. Caught a decent amount of fish... mostly smallmouth bass. I did manage to hook and land my fist pike ever which was the intended purpose of the trip.

Headed up to Navajo lake for some weekend fishing action. Report and pictures will be posted upon return.
