What do you do with your horns/antlers?

Just wondering what everybody does with the horns/antlers after you got your animal. I have a 60 year collection that I have in my garage. I have mounted some and used some for drawer handles and knife handles. Here is whats in my garage.

    2020 Family WY Antelope Hunt

Why not start with a type 6 doe/fawn tag to start with. You can get another point for everyone (no point are used for the type 6 tag), scout the country for a future buck hunt and bring home some meat. I hunt does quite a bit while building points for another buck hunt and they are very cheap...

How Young Is Too Young (To Hunt)

I have to disagree with some of the things you say in the first paragraph. I taught Hunter Safety with my Dad for 25 years. We got some kids whose parents were not hunters and would never hunt. These kids had friends who were hunters and had to pass the test to be able to hunt with their friends...

How Young Is Too Young (To Hunt)

Some states take it out of the parents hands by having a minimum age to hunt big game. I was born and raised in California and it was 12 years old there. Hunter safety is a different situation as there is really no minimum age that I am aware of. My Dad and I taught HS and we took kids as young...

    Snow in SW Colorado

Last night as I went to bed, it was just starting to snow. This morning there is about 4" on the ground and it's still snowing. This just the first storm, more to come later in the week. Looks like the San Juans and La Platas are getting hammered. Have to go to Physical Therapy this am, then...

    The Lightest Weatherby Rifle Ever

I also like the new WBY..........BUT I already have a .300 & .257 Wby and shoot a 30-06 & 25-06 too. At my age I would like a lighter rifle, but I think I'll carry around the extra weight and save the money for hunting trips.

Don't put all your faith in onx!

You are right about most of the data being correct. But they depend on county information (as you said) but the counties can be wrong! They county changed the name of my road several years ago and it still has not been corrected on their maps. I put my current address in my gps and it say no...

    Rethinking Deer Gun

I'm with JimP. I have shot my 25-06 since 1970. I have a Ruger M77 that I bought new. It is topped with a Leupold 4x14 VXlll with a ballistic turret. I handload and shoot a 117 gr Sierra BT Game King bullet. I have shot over 100 animals with it (Deer, antelope, hogs) and have never had a...
