    Shooting Sports

When I started shooting, the cost was pretty minimal. Ammunition and guns were very reasonable and my Dad and I reloaded everything except rimfire. As I got older, the ones that I stayed with were the ones I shot the best in and were the most fun (winning is fun!!). After I retired i got...

    Shooting Sports

I know everyone here shoots something, firearm or bow. I don't shoot a bow so my question is basically for firearm shooters. Do you do any competitive shooting? I do and have for over 65 years. I'll start out with shotguns. I have shot in ATA Trap Shooting, NSSA Skeet Shooting and live pigeon...

Infloor radiant heat provided by a boiler using propane. I also have a pellet stove. Everything does a great job.

Training your own dog is very satisfying. I have trained 3 and all of them turned out to be great hunters. Good luck.

    Wildlife task force, 90-10, etc.

A few years back after my last Elk draw, I realized that I probably would never draw any of the units I wanted to hunt again. At my age I don't have all that many years left to hunt. I will continue to buy points and apply for antelope and deer, but none of the rest of the big game tags or...

Where would you move to if you had your choice of any western State to live in?

We almost moved to Idaho in 1977. I was offered ae engineering job at INEL (Idaho National Energy Lab) near Idaho Falls. Was all set to accept the job and relocate there, but just couldn't agree on the job package they were offering.

Where would you move to if you had your choice of any western State to live in?

One state was not given serious consideration by my wife and I, that was Alaska. We lived all our lives in southern California, definately a warm weather state. After spending a month in Alaska in 2019, I know now that we should have included it in our considerations for a retirement home...
