Muzzleloader pleads not guilty in fatal shooting of bow hunter

The only problem is if he doesn't have the means to pay, it is just a meaningless penalty. I have a nephew who got a girl pregnant (he was 21) and a court judged him responsible and he was ordered to pay child support. He is now 40 and never paid a dime, he owes over $200,000 that will never be...

Muzzleloader pleads not guilty in fatal shooting of bow hunter

It is not a crime to be stupid, and he surely is. In the last few weeks at a Colorado Parks & Wildlife Commission meeting, it was voted down to make any change in the current hunting rules concerning muzzle loading wearing orange during their season. There was also no change requiring archery...

    Cackler smackdown!

I remember the first Cackler I shot. I was about 12 and my Dad and I were hunting over a spread of goose decoys and a small group started to decoy in and I didn't shoot when Dad did and he ask me if something was wrong with my shotgun. I said they were too far away. Then I realized the were just...

    Trijicon vs Leupold

Have no experience with Trijicon....BUT I do with Leupold. IMHO Leupold is a no brainer. Best value/quality/customer service for the money for sure.

Other than leftover tags, the only OTC tags you can get are elk 2nd & 3rd season. Unfortunately most are really popular and the orange army runs rampant. I don't hunt those seasons. Build points like in Wyoming. If you haven't ever been to Colorado, you could buy an OTC tag and use it as a...

If I were in Grizzley country during the summer when I wasn't hunting and I was fishing or hiking, I would for sure carry a short barreled tactical shotgun.

I am a wheelgun guy. At least a .44 mag in a double action revolver, preferably a S & W. But when I have hunted in Grizzley country, I carried bear spray too.

    Berry Bullets - pistol loading

Found the problem. I shot today and Berry was right. No crimp on the case. I adjusted the seating depth so about 1/10 of an inch of the bullet is protruding out of the case and no crimp. Shot 50 rounds and no problems. Thanks for all your input and comments.

    2022 Fishing thread

Spent a month in Alaska in 2019. Had a great time and great fishing & clamming. Had another trip booked for 2020, but Covid nixed that one. Looking at maybe going this summer, but Covid is sticking it's ugly head up again.
