sometimes i think google earth is a waste of time. The place never looks like it does on google earth. one place i hunt, google earth shows clearcuts that existed in the 90's. But not today and todays clear cuts are not in the picture. to me google earth is good for the big picture, but...

I guess i am bad, i have 4 or 5 packs, but i use non hunting buds to help pack. that way my hunting buds don't know my spots. someplaces you just got to keep to yourself.

foam ear plugs are cheap and easy to put in your ear before pulling the trigger. especially on a spot and stalk or sitting on a stand. I use breaks and ear plugs.

a buddy and i cleared 9 miles of trail yesterday on a local favorite backcountry trail. we cleared 77 trees off of the trail. roughly one every 200 yards for 9 miles. 6 tanks of gas in our saws between the 2 of us. My stihl kicked his husqi's ass. if you know saws, you will get that one.

did my morning walk and then put one into the gong at 376 and one into the gong at 432. it is fun ringing steel, 2 pulls of the trigger, 2 rings. looking forward to a multi day raft trip next week on the lower salmon river.
