I ended up with my public land, otc bull and buck in idaho. Not my biggest animals, but i did have a fun season and seen some awesome country.

one thing i have learned, is: as soon as you have a new spot, start looking for the next spot. Spots only seem to last 5 years or so. some more, some less. I would like to find some elk hunting in november. Deer are fun and all, but they ain't elk.

both fronts went into the crock pot, with 2 brown gravy packets, an au jus packet, onion soup mix packet, jarred garlic and a bud light. I bring something like this in every black friday for my team. put in on a roll with horseradish. pretty tasty.

once the power came back on, it is generator season where i live. i got see some animals. Bulls(elk and moose), bucks(whitetails), cows, calves, does and fawns and a suprise appearance with a mountain lion. I watched this 5 pt bull almost bite it on the ice, when he realized i was 15 yards...

I did first aid on a guy in alaska, that shot the sow off of his ankle with a 454 casul. the reticle caps on the scope of the pistol had teeth marks on them.

Got a spike bull elk this season. Tough hunt, tried a new spot. Never knew elk like rock.

you can not judge alaska by any standards other than alaskan standards. It is a mind blowing place. Most of the time, i wish i never moved out.
