I have only hunted GEN areas, and the points required for a NR have gone from 0-1 to 4. I am there again after burning them in 2017 (WY), and used my 11 CO points in 2019. Don't let your points outlive you....get healthy first my friend.

COV. thanks for the heads up. The pts. required in the area that we had applied for (elk) stayed the same as last year. There has been continual upward movement as my partners were chasing points, but it stabilized a couple years ago. This is in the high demand/tag number units of 3/4/4/441.

My two hunting partners drew their bull/any elk tags. Not suprising since it was a 3 to 4 pt. draw last year and they had 9 pts. The origional plan was to try for the MZL tag, but it's possible that they wouldn't have made the cut. 1st rifle is on the docket and in the bag.

I had an e-mail when I checked this morning. The first thing I read was "unsuccessful". CRAP Then I saw that it was just the deer pref. pt. that I applied for, and that the point was awarded. I expect to get the cow elk tag, but guess that I will have to wait another day to find out.

No luck on the cow tag. I decided to throw some money back at WY and apply for a G deer tag with zero pts. What they hey at least there is a 3-4% chance for a random draw.
