Got my three birds in OR, hopefully I'll run into a spring bear next :) Had a slow start, but things got a bit better starting last week. Killed a couple jakes and a nice gobbler. Here's a pic of the bigger one.

At least, in the case of only one tag it goes to the high point holders pool. UT is tough ona for the high point holders because the way they subdivided all the units for OIL species, if there is only 1 tag it goes random. And very few ever have more than 1 tag. That's cool for someone with low...

I'm in for only points this year in CO most likely. I have a ID whitetail tag and should get my MT deer and WY antelope. Who knows if I'll get lucky in UT or NV and in OR I should have my blacktail MZ tag.

I think these hunts are used as a tool by the game department to control predator populations. I have no problem with this method as a management tool in units that have struggling moose, sheep and caribou populations. I give the department credit for trying to help ungulate poppulations rebound...

I ended up with a little boar that I shot with my MZ. Congrats on your javelina. Contrary to what you hear, they make good tablefare if taken care of correctly. They make for a nice pack out too :) !
