Day 16/17 got into them for a few hours now going to town to resupply and get a beer report.
Yesterday they torched off for a little but nothing serious. I misjudged a bull as being bigger and got a little too aggressive and he ran off and his cows came to me. He was just a little 4x4 thst...
The day 14....it's a quiet woods report. Wind kicked up last night and spoiled the evening deer hunt. Chasing elk this am in my sure fire canyon......not. Oh well, will find em.
The day 13 Mountain Dog says " Blue Grouse for Dinner Report"
Didn't catch up to a nice 4x4 muley this am after he changed his normal route post sun up.
Son went and whacked some mountain chickens this afternoon for fun.
Gonna chase deer this evening and go after the elk again in the am.
The day 11 big six goes down post. Neighbor camp that I've known for 10 years knocks down a good elk today with the muzzle loader. The archery gang couldn't get him to come to a call as he just wanted to follow the cows. That was his demise 1/2 mile later. My camp went down to take more water...
The day 11 meat on the pole report. My son put a hell of a stalk on a nice 3 x 3 still in velvet today. 40 yard shot with the smoke pole click boom flop. Haven't heard from the elk guys yet today in the valley. Big 6x6 bull taken by our neighbor camp yesterday am. Seems a little colder today...
Well its that time of the year again. Finalizing packing lists. Last minute shopping and temps dropping. Like the past two years I'll try to give the kinda live end of day reports on how it's going with a comedic take on the trials and tribulations. This year in camp we got 5 x archery either...
I wanted to get some feedback on a new bag for my father. He is 5"9" and 260lbs. 70+ years old.....+20 +10 will be fine.....just concerned he has enough room in it and is comfortable. Most likely looking for a rectangle one I can order online so I can have it sent to the house.
14 days 20...

FYI
I really hate the last 30 days of waiting.
Son is checking trail cams this weekend for the last time until we go into hunt.
Nothing left to do but pack.
I'm at work now so I drive the office guys nuts once a day as I practice with the reeds.
I've watched every possible archery elk hunting video...
Any body have any luck with one that works for both? I run multiple different brand trail cams and have yet to find one that works reliably. Example : I just recently got the one Moultrie sells. Worked fine for 1 week and then comes up not compatible on both devices.
