Some pics from scouting on the way home last week.

Packing some food today. Gonna take a little spike camp also with me. I think if the sheep are still there combined with the muzzle pressure.....may need to get away from them a little to stay in the animals. OMG Steelers

Off the mountain and down to Craig for the night. Awesome meal at JW Snacks Gulf Coast Grill. Gonna head to the barn in the am. Recharge with some football then back up Tuesday. Go Steelers.

Elk Day #6 Down the trail after some corn beef hash and biscuits. Past the sheep we go again......and what.....a bugle that close to the sheep? We sneak in a little further maybe 100 yards as i figure they have to be moving away from the sheep. Low and behold through the aspen i see an elk...

Elk Day #5 Up at 0430 for a cheesy ham/eggs coffee breakfast then down the trail. Past the sheep and into where I think some elk are. Nothing making noise at first light so we sit and blind call for 15 minutes. About 10 minutes later a cow and calf pass by at 47 yards. Sit there for another 25...

Yeah upper 70s. No wind. Changing now as the temps dropped and some rain is pusing through.

23.37 miles so far here at camp. Keep after it gents.!

Yeah i agree. Im using them like human pressure. Hopefully to my advantage😀

Elk day #4 Down the trail we go before daylight. Ran into the sheep and watched the dogs work the flock. Really interesting how one was the boss dog and the others were like sentrys posted on the perimeter. Although its messing up the elk hunting a little, still pretty neat to watch. So...

If not hiking a ton, Im in the same boat as CC upland vest, reversible, khaki on one side, blaze orange on the other. If im hiking alot, then the cheap panel ones wth side mesh is what Im wearing.

There is a metric butt ton of sheep in my deer spot. Oh well thats public land hunting. On to plan B, C and who knows what else.😀🦌
