the white ohv maps from the forest service will only show roads that are legal to be one, not all the roads in an area. ie if the road is closed to motor vehichles, it will not be on the white motorized travel map. so you can see it on google earth or in real life, but it does not mean it is...

you are not locked out of wyoming wilderness, you just can't hunt in it. you can still backpack, walk, run rivers ect, just not hunt.
I am just going to throw this out here, Oregons mountains can not compare to BC\Alberta
if going to Banff, you will have lots of tourist, but the waterfalls parkway up towards jasper is an incredbible place.
