I should update this... The 225 gr FTX bullet performed very well on a 100#-class FL buck. It was a bad shot - think i just centered the cross hairs on the body and let it rip. Seems like got the liver and def got the stomach at about 40 yards - bullet went thru, sending out a spray of gore...

If you are not gonna dial, vortex is as good leupold. Sold a vx3i cause it held a group at 250 and not a point. My diamondback holds zero better. have a diamondback w bdc and its decent. My older viper is better for low light if you need the last second or more. Both hold an inch at 250 yards.

Incredible what the storms can do - the one that hit Mexico Beach a couple years back erased a bunch of houses and put 30+ ft boats 1/4 to 1/2 mile inland. I love the beach but don't want to live on it.
