My Daughter got her first lope this last Tuesday. Her and I where stocking down a draw after a group that had two bucks fighting when my Daughter says Dad there is a lope behind us, WHAT, i turn around to see a buck running at us from 300yds or so. I told her get ready it runs into 180yds and...
Congratulations, nice goat and sounds like you had a good time! I'll be in the same area this weekend with my Daughter on her first Antelope hunt. Then go back for the last 5 days of the season if we don't connect.
Made A duck philly cheese steak last night, under the pepper jack cheese is sautéed onion and bell pepper. Pan seared the duck in a cast iron skillet then sliced cross grain. Toasted the bread with butter and duck fat. It was pretty darn good.
I spent thirty days in mine year for last, mine came with a tarp for underneath and we use moving blankets for the inside. Never used my awning, we use a couple ez ups with screw in anchors.
Fried Razor clams yum, we use to have gatherings at fish camp in Ninilchik. Deep fried Razor and butter clams, Halibut ect. Brings back memories, glad you had fun
My goal for hunting this year is to get my Daughter her first Antelope buck and a Muzzleloader deer. My personal career goal was met by getting promoted to the highest level I can where I work, and I'll be using that raise to pay for gas to meet the Daughters hunting goal.
Well yesterday my daughter got an email that she was first alternate inline for Buck Antelope in the same unit we have Deer tags.
This will be her first lope tag, so I am super excited.
