    Elk Hunting Tricks

Elk move, and move, and move until the pressure ends. When I can't find elk in my general area I hike in about 4 miles to a spot where I can literally glass 5 different mountains. From there I note where the elk are and then also the elevations. Elevation many times separates a lot of the...

    Your Biggest Buck

Since I tagged out a bit earlier than what I usually do, at this point I am usually grinding it out... Post up a pic of your biggest mule deer, or your oldest...you choose! And go!

Their binoculars and spotters are not made there, can't speak to the red dots etc. though.

    Who else is...

Well, I am a sore unit today. Yesterday's squat session was a good one...or so my body is telling me. Isolation for chest and tris this morning, still down weight wise from my deer trip so that is a plus.

    6.5 To kill an elk?

Agreed, totally different scenario, range time will be huge for that guy. Heavier bullet will be good and a good mentor to help him take an ethical shot IMHO.

    6.5 To kill an elk?

I have known Buzz a long time, we probably talk a few times a year on the phone about something wildlife related. End of the day he is a killer and has his reasons, 134 yards makes for ethical clean kills.

early review Eberlestock F1 Mainframe and F2 Transformer

I had to get permission to post this as it was a tester, and I will see if I can find one of the smaller versions. The pack bag I am using on this trip is 7,000 cui approximately and Brandon’s was 5k approximately. There are a few more updates coming, this will be called the Vapor Series.

    Who else is...

Squated heavy for the first time in about two months this morning. It is really weird to have over a month between the start of elk season and when my buck hit the dirt. Good thing I have a local antelope hunt to help my Dad out with and a couple of other fun hunts.

Have you guys tried the taller version of the Mainframe? Bigger guy here and I really like the shoulder lift that I get from it.
