I will second that opening day can be good with scouting. One caveat I will add is that there are quite a few migratory hunts for antelope, late season can be an absolute ball if you time it right when the goats are there.

The hardest part about Antelope hunting is how many you have to look over to find one that is unquestionably a BIG one!

As to advice on Region G itself, well here it goes. Number one, expect to see people, overall numbers are down but IMO the ones hunting are pushing farther. Book plenty of time to hunt and SCOUT it if you at all can. If you can't scout plan to stay for quite a while just in case your plan A, B...

Bear in mind with this region that it is going to be kind of crazy from an application perspective. I am betting that there will be a lot of people looking to burn points who have been sitting in the top tier for quite a while.
