Finally had a chance to get out after a bear. Found a real nice chocolate colored boar. I haven't had a chance to measure him yet, but he's definitely a pumpkin headed old guy.

Has anyone had any experience with this unit(330) for antelope. I was just wondering if anyone had any input on public land, access, quality and quantity of antelope or deer, etc.? It's a new unit for me.I've hunted mostly SE MT and I thought I'd try something new( I love seeing and learning...

MT antelope results are finally out! We drew a 330-20 tag. One more hunt for this fall. Schedule is pretty full now!:)

Here's a couple more Anchorage moose. These were in the yard after coming home from 14 days hunting moose down the Yukon and Koyokuk. The little bull had a wind chime stuck in his antler.:)

OR Tom #2 down. I finally broke the 2nd bird curse! Thank goodness I said my prayers that morning. Got my bird, took pictures and made it to work on time. What a great morning!:)

Got a chance to get out and do some calling with a buddy. This guy hung up for about a half an hour. But we tricked him by having my buddy walk away calling as he left. After he faded almost out of ear shot, this guy poked his head out to see what was going on! How fun is that!

I second(or third:)) the type of sign that GP and Jason watch for! Clear cuts with old rotten stumps and logs are a super location in OR, especially during the transition from huckleberries to Mt. ash or acorns. I've seen bears work amazingly hard just for a few bugs(ants, grubs etc.), also...

My best and no.1 advice for bears is hunt where the food is. If a guy can figure out the food source for the time of year he's hunting, then be patient and watch, you'll get a bear almost every time. My experience is mostly in OR, but I'm sure the same applies everywhere Early spring hunt I...
